Recovered: Priceless Van Gogh Masterpiece Regained by Esteemed Art Restorer

Renowned as the 'Indiana Jones of the art world' in the Netherlands, Arthur Brand successfully recovered Vincent van Gogh's masterpiece, "Parsonage Garden at Nuenen in Spring," three years after its theft.
Collaborating closely with Dutch law enforcement, Arthur Brand skillfully orchestrated the safe return of the painting, known as 'Spring Garden' in English, with an estimated value ranging between three to six million euros.
Brand's intervention materialized when an individual, unrelated to the original theft, reached out to him, ultimately leading to the recovery of the artwork. He expressed his satisfaction, stating, "After 1,300 days, here it is, and in a few moments, I will hand it over to the museum director, who I believe will be delighted."
This artwork, dating back to 1884, marked the onset of Van Gogh's illustrious career. Unfortunately, it fell victim to theft from the Singer Museum in the Dutch town of Laren during March 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the museum's closure due to safety measures.
The burglars' audacious break-in, captured on security cameras, showcased their smashing of glass doors in the museum, located east of Amsterdam, as they absconded with the valuable painting.
Notably, both the perpetrator and the intended recipient of the stolen artwork are now in custody. This painting beautifully portrays the garden of the rectory in Nuenen, the quaint Dutch town where Van Gogh's parents resided.
